Markets
Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy future. We provide innovative, high-performance rigid foam solutions for a wide range of applications.
materials are produced using sustainable materials and manufacturing processes.
We are constantly exploring new ways to reduce our environmental footprint and
promote a more sustainable future.
Our team of experts has extensive experience in the energy and material science domains and are dedicated to helping our customers find the right natural foam solution for their specific needs.
Our Foams are a perfect NET ZERO replacement focused on 5 near term markets.
Wind Blade
Structural Foam Cores.
TAF High-Density Lignin Foam is perfect for use as the core material in a turbine wind blade, providing thickness and rigidity. Our foams increase the stiffness and durability of the blade, reducing bending and torsional forces. This is the main Key Performance Indicator (KPI) in terms of structural capability for wind blade manufacturers.
Filtration Systems.
TAF carbon foam is an open-cell structure that is durable and long-lasting. Being porous, our carbon foam can trap a wide range of air pollutants and odours, including VOC’s and other contaminants.
TAF carbon foam can be used in industrial air pollution systems, HVAC and automotive filtration systems. Our Carbon and Lignin Foams are very effective for use in water filtration, particularly in the removal of organic compounds (pesticides etc), VOC’s and heavy metals.
Marine Structural Foam
TAF high-density foam is an ideal material for stringers and transoms in boat manufacturing, providing essential strength and rigidity to the hull at a fraction of the weight of traditional materials. TAF foams provide the added benefit of being resistant to rot and decay, prolonging the life of the boat.
TAF high-density foam is also the perfect material for use as deck & bulkhead filler, providing added structural support. Our lignin foams will reinforce weak spots and distribute weight and stress across the hull, improving the strength and stability of the boat.
Solignea PV Solar Foams
Solignea PV is a TAF Composites subsidiary involved in the design, manufacture, and sale of solar pv modules. The company uses TAF Composites’ novel foam material
as the substrate support for the depositing and housing of solar cells.
Solignea PV will manufacture for our initial projects in the United States, to reduce costs and benefit from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This will allow us a $ 0.07 per watt tax credit, over one third of our cost base.
